What truly elevates Charlie’s Kitchen, however, is not just the food but the entire dining experience. The café’s coffee deserves special mention—customers rave about the expertly crafted flat whites, espresso, and macchiatos that perfectly complement the meal, crafted from roasted beans rather than instant blends, ensuring each sip bursts with authentic aroma and depth. Though some have found certain coffee brews a touch acidic, the overall beverage selection—including quality teas and well-chosen beers like Peroni and San Miguel—rounds out a well-curated drink menu.
Reviews from locals and visitors alike emphasize the friendly, attentive service and honest value. Matthew Sweeney shares how Charlie’s Kitchen surpassed his expectations with fast, delicious food that felt far from ordinary amidst the dense café scene of Queensway. Meanwhile, Sara Mayra Mita Gabriel highlights her delight with the beef burger, praising both the food quality and the welcoming, kind staff. Families appreciate the relaxed, unhurried ambiance, as noted by Trich B, who found the spot to be refreshingly genuine rather than a tourist-focused venue.

When I first arrived with my girlfriend, I thought this was just an ordinary café. But the moment my first flat white landed on the table, I realised this place was on another level. The food was absolutely delicious, and it came out very fast — to the point where I genuinely couldn’t find a single thing to complain about. Considering the area is flooded with small café/brunch spots, this one doesn’t immediately stand out from the outside, but let this post be proof that it’s a well-run, top-quality establishment. I’m not usually a juice or smoothie man, but the apple and orange fruit smoothies were unreal. The staff were really friendly, and I even ended my visit with a fist bump from the manager . Excellent service all round, and it genuinely put a smile on my face at the end of my meal. Highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of visiting.
Excellent food, I came for a burger because I wanted to collaborate to a small business and it was the best decision. Food quality and the price are a deal! I would recommend for their beef burger! The owner was kind, the waitress was quick and kind too!
My family and I arrived at the cafe seeking a break from the cold as we waited for check-in at our Airbnb. The food was fresh and the atmosphere was welcoming. We enjoyed other breakfast and “lunch”. The food did not disappoint and the price was right. This isn’t an overpriced tourist trap. The staff was welcoming and we didn’t feel rushed. I would certainly recommend.
This place has been in Queensway Market forever! Recently, newly refurbished & redecorated in soft & alluring green / white tones -They have re colour the experience applying paint or wallpaper again, typically differently. The food has always been very good as the Owner is Greek and has excellent standards: butter is not margarine , coffee is roasted beens not soluble and tea and Fish and chips are as they should be.There are also vegan options for those not meat lovers! The place is clean safe and tranquil an oasis within the busy hectic area. The food is served quickly and there is no crazy waiting time.I truly hope this business flourish cause He deserves it.Being in the Market for long means a lot.Service is efficient. There is no greek coffee though...A pitty.Eυχαριστώ! Tks.
Loved their breakfast! coffee is not good tbh it was so acidic
I like the mini-breakfast which is quite wholesome. Came with real butter (pure Irish butter) and love it on the multi-grain toast. Fried egg would be better if the yolk remains runny but went well with the baked beans on the toast itself. Hashbrown was decent, sausage is average and bacon done just right (not overcooked). I tried most of the coffees over past 3 days. My favorite was the Macchiato double. I was disappointed with Cappuccino. Price wise I think it is the best in Queensway. There’s outdoor seating. Service was friendly and no frills. Chatted with the main waitress and she was very pleasant. I recommend this place for simple and good breakfast if staying around Queensway and Bayswater.
We had a wonderful time enjoying a classic English breakfast here in London! The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and just what we needed to start the day. A special thank you to Anissa for her kindness and warm hospitality – she truly made the experience even better. Highly recommended!
We chanced across Charlie's Kitchen while searching Queensway for a nice lunch spot. It definitely felt like the most welcoming establishment given that we were accompanied by our little dog. What's also nice is they keep the breakfast menu going until 2pm which was just perfect. This meant that I could enjoy the Charlie's special breakfast which is spot on for a vegetarian. Our food appeared promptly and was both filling and tasty. It's proper café food which aims to make sure that you leave replenished rather being designed to be fashionable. Which was just what we needed.
